Tasso Island faces limited access to electricity, clean water, sanitation and reliable internet. SierrAfrica Diaspora Connect brings partners and supporters together to help close these gaps.

Although SADC is not a 501(c)(3), donations are made tax-deductible through fiscal sponsor Global Peace Media. Contributions are combined to advance the projects selected by supporters.

Ten upgraded wells with pumps and two desalination units will improve reliable access to safe water.

Five tanks with agitators will capture seasonal rainwater for drinking, showers and toilets.

Long-term sustainability

Communities of Excellence

The Global Ecovillage Network Africa will support a three-year economic empowerment programme focused on business skills, demonstration projects and locally owned income opportunities.

Beyond infrastructure

The initiative will help establish five demonstration projects, strengthen business knowledge and promote micro- and e-commerce enterprises shaped around Tasso Island’s strengths.
